About 50 people participated in the NES homecoming event on October 11, 2019. Former PhD students and PostDocs came to Klagenfurt for a reunion with their alma mater. The reunion started with a lab tour, where staff members presented recent topics in research and teaching at our institute. The demonstrations spanned various topics, including reliable industrial networks, multi-camera networks, power-line communications, smart grids, and swarm robotics. The alumni could also catch a glimpse on the new indoor flight area and watched the preparation of a multi-drone show case.
The social event took place at the Pyramidenkogel tower, where all enjoyed the great view over Carinthia and talked about research ideas, shared insights about their careers, and exchanged memories about their time at NES. It is wonderful to see what interesting careers our alumni have made so far and what an inspiring place our institute in Klagenfurt is.
