Three PhD Positions in Elmenreich Group

The smart grids group (Prof. Elmenreich) has three openings for researchers (PhD student) on the topics of software engineering of swarm systems, system testing and fault diagnosis, and embedded communication protocols. Candidates are expected to have a master in electrical or computer engineering, computer science, applied mathematics or equivalent. The contract will be based on a gross salary of at least 39124 EUR per year for 40 hours per week. Research and Teaching Staff Member in Tonello Group

The embedded communication systems group (Prof. Tonello) has an open position for a research and teaching staff member (Universitätsassistentin/Universitätsassistent), temporary contract for 4 years, 100% employment, 40 hours per week. The contract will be based on a gross salary of at least 39.124 EUR per year.
Candidates are expected to have a university degree or university of applied science degree (Master or Diplom-Ingenieur) acquired in Austria or abroad in the field of electrical engineering, information and communications engineering, computer engineering, or informatics, graded with at least “good”.

Research and Teaching Staff Member in Rinner Group

The pervasive computing group of Bernhard Rinner has an opening for a research and teaching staff member position (Universitätsassistent / Universitätsassistentin). Tasks include research on novel solutions for networked and embedded systems (e.g. for sensor networks and multi-robot systems) and teaching tutorial courses in information and communications engineering at bachelor and/or master level. PreDoc Scientist (Universitätsassistent/in) in Embedded Communication Systems

The Embedded Communication Systems group is searching for a predoc scientist (assistant) to carry out research in communications and embedded systems with focus in one of the following domains: power line communications, wireless communications, localization systems, signal and data processing, circuits and systems for smart technologies. The successful candidate is expected to submit a dissertation, acquire the PhD and contribute to teaching in the field of electrical and computer engineering.

Researcher: Industrial Wireless Sensor Networks (UWB)

We have an opening for a research project with industrial partners. The main task is to perform hands-on research in wireless, networked sensor systems for industrial applications: communications protocols, ultra-wideband (UWB) communications, and experimental performance analysis. Researcher: 5G and Drones

We have an opening for a research collaboration with a major telecommunications company. The main task is to perform experimental, hands-on research in wireless communications over LTE-A and 5G for aerial robots.
